What is Business Payments and how does it function? Business Payments allows users to sync transactions from Stripe, PayPal, and Square with their QuickBooks account. The app includes a Generic Tax Code feature that enables users to apply tax rates to both non-taxable and taxable sales transactions that are synced with the app. Users can select from their QuickBooks tax rates and apply them to each sales transaction that needs to be synced. The QuickBooks outcomes will reflect whether the transactions have tax in the payment system, and the app will calculate the tax according to the settings, making the transaction amount tax exclusive. However, the Generic Tax Code feature is not available for QuickBooks companies with an automated taxation system, as QuickBooks calculates taxes automatically for these companies. For US companies, the app defaults to exclusive taxation as it is the only option available.
